101 - Non-emergency 24hr
In this section
Our attending officers are expected to keep the victim and children safe, asses their future risk, and if need be; refer them to a third party organisation for a longer term solution.
Our officers are trained in compassion and empathy, and will take the victims needs seriously. They will attend your emergency swiftly, identify the perpetrator, and take positive action. They will then gather as much evidence as is possible for your case. This may involve photographs of your injuries, or photographs of damage caused.
You will be asked questions by the officer in attendance; this is in order for the officer to fill out a form which will then help us to assess the level of help you may need, and also to help us identify the severity of the abuse you are suffering. The questions have been carefully worded so that we can ensure the appropriate safeguarding and support for you is put in place.
