Four Arrested Following a Reported Armed Robbery at One Stop Store in Eaglescliffe

Police are appealing for information after a reported armed robbery occurred at the One Stop store on Station Road in Eaglescliffe.

The incident occurred at 11:30am today, Monday 9th September and it is believed the staff in the store were allegedly threatened with a suspected firearm.

Cash and cigarettes were believed to be stolen from the premises.

Four people were arrested in connection with the incident a short time later at the Jet Garage in Norton.  Two women aged 45 and 22 and two men aged 30 and 27 were arrested and all remain in custody.

Enquiries are ongoing.
