Arrests in North Ormesby

Five people have been arrested after officers from Middlesbrough’s Neighbourhood Policing Team targeted three properties in North Ormesby.

1 The operation focused on disrupting suspected drug dealing but also discovered potential weapons and a suspected stolen motorbike.

Warrants were executed early this morning in a day of action which saw two properties raided in Macbean Street and one in Edward Street.

A man aged 49 and a 38-year-old female, were arrested from a property in Edward Street, both on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

A knife, a suspected stolen motorbike and substances believed to be class A, B and C drugs were also recovered from this street.

A 41-year-old man was arrested in Macbean Street on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

A 21-year-old woman and a 39-year-old woman were also arrested on this street, both on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

An item believed to be a makeshift spear was recovered from a property in Macbean Street and substances suspected to be Class A drugs.

A 17 year old male was also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, and driving whilst disqualified.

Sergeant Jon Hagen said: “Thanks to a combination of police intelligence and work with the community we were able to today target properties which we suspect are linked to the possession and supply of drugs.
