Officers Continue to Investigate the Disappearance of Naheed Khan

Cleveland Police are still investigating the disappearance of Naheed Khan and are looking into a number of lines of enquiry to try and trace her.

Naheed Khan Naheed, who is from Thornaby was reported missing on Tuesday 12th June and had not been seen by her family for three weeks prior, which is out of character for her.

Detective Inspector Louise Sproson said: “It has now been 12 weeks since Naheed was reported missing and as time goes on we are increasingly concerned for her welfare.

“We have a team of officers working on this investigation, who are doing their upmost to try and trace Naheed.

“So far we have had no confirmed sightings of Naheed since Thursday 3rd May, and since then there has been no activity on her social media accounts and she hasn’t accessed her bank account. For her to have been out of touch with her family for this long, especially now she is a new grandmother is very unlike her.

“Officers have been raising awareness of her disappearance by working through intelligence and information sent to us by the public and by distributing posters to local businesses and residents.

“We would urge anyone with information, no matter how insignificant you think it is, to please contact us on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or visit them online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

“Naheed, if you are reading this, please let your family or police know that you are safe.  If you do not want to directly let us know where you are then please contact the Missing People charity on 116000 and they can get a message to your family.”

In addition to Thornaby, Naheed also has links to Stockton and Middlesbrough town centres. She is described as being of Asian appearance, of slim build and around 5ft 6” tall, with long, dark hair and several tattoos, one being ‘Amber’ on her left wrist. She also has a large mole in the centre of her left wrist. Her only daughter has recently given birth to a baby girl and Naheed has never met her.

Anyone with information as to Naheed’s whereabouts or anyone who may have seen Naheed since May onwards, is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101.
