Attempted Robbery on Oxford Road in Thornaby

Police are appealing for information after an attempted robbery occurred at Oxford Convenience Store on Oxford Road in Thornaby.

The incident occurred on Wednesday 4th September at around 7:40pm when it was reported that four males entered the store wearing balaclavas and were believed to be in the possession of weapons.

The males reportedly threatened the staff and then made off from the scene empty handed.

An 18-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released under investigation.
